Tween Camp
For campers entering 5th-8th Grades

Middle-school campers know what they want, and Fred’s Camp listens! Tween Camp allows our campers to have input into their own camp activities, from a tremendous range of athletic and creative possibilities. We are committed to offering our older campers a program rich in activities and a forum for self-expression, giving them a unique opportunity to further foster friendships they have built over the years and develop new ones. Tween campers enjoy all of the other camp offerings that make their summer so much fun: Carnival, Color War, Sports Clinics, Olympics, Scavenger Hunts, The Quest, Game-Shows, Cup Challenges…and much more.

There’s always something happening in Tween Camp. Campers compete in sports, take on team challenges, play favorites like Capture the Flag, dodgeball, and ultimate frisbee, and get opportunities to step up as leaders throughout the summer. Weekly theme days, field trips, special events, pool parties, and plenty of friendly competition keep things moving and give campers something different to look forward to each week. Whether they’re competing with their group, heading out on a trip, hanging out at the pool, or just spending time with friends, Tween Camp is about making the most of summer—and having a lot of fun along the way.

Here’s more of what you can expect from Tween Camp:

But Tween Camp is about more than staying busy. It’s a place where middle-schoolers can hang out with friends, meet new people, challenge themselves, take on more responsibility, and have a little more say in how they spend their summer. What makes Tween Camp especially important is having an experienced staff that truly understands middle-schoolers and the unique social, emotional, and developmental needs of this age. Our experienced staff understands that the middle-school years come with their own unique social, emotional, and developmental needs. Tween Camp is where growing up and being a kid can happen at the same time.
