Fred’s Summer Day Camp Programs
Fred’s Camp is proud to offer a broad and flexible program that encourages campers to participate and challenge themselves. Fred’s Camp programs are separated into three different age groups with age-appropriate creative and stimulating activities that enable our campers to develop their physical coordination, awareness of themselves as group members, self-esteem and sensitivity to their environment. All of our campers will enjoy participating in Fred’s Camp traditions that have delighted campers since 1994: Theme Days, Carnival, Color War, Sports Clinics, Olympics, Scavenger Hunts, The Quest, Game-Shows, Cup Challenges…and much more.
After Camp Care
Need a longer camp day? Fred’s Camp offers extended hours until 6 p.m. Monday – Thursday. You can choose after camp care during the application process or add it at a later day. After Camp Care is subject to change and based on availability and preference.
American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Program
We committed to providing the highest level swim instruction in the camping industry, teaming with the American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Program. This progressive curriculum will focus on water safety, swimming basics and the four core swimming strokes.
Swimming is held, rain or shine, four times a week, at the Ray Meyer Fitness Center. The ratio in the pool is 4:1 — which provides a safe nurturing environment for everyone.
Now that the kids are 10 and 11 years old, what really stands out to us, is hearing how they are looking forward to one day becoming junior counselors and eventually full-time counselors at Fred's Camp! They truly feel the love and care of the organization and want it to be a part of their lives now and in the Future.
