Jodi Lasky Greenburg
Jodi Greenburg Lasky has been working in the day camp world since she was 14 years old and has not had a summer off since then. At Fred’s Camp, she is the first person you would call for information or anything having to do with camp. Jodi loves the fact that camp is a family business and her partner is her brother. Prior to working at Fred’s Camp full time, Jodi was an early childhood special education teacher and a second grade teacher. Jodi lives in the Northern Suburbs with her husband, David, and their two children, Madelyn and Sean.
Mark Greenburg
Mark Greenburg is the founder of Elevated Leadership, a consulting firm that focuses on leadership development and employee engagement. He is a veteran educator in social and emotional learning and a frequent speaker and trainer on the topics of education, team empowerment, and effective management. Mark is also director of Fred’s Camp, a summer camp owned and operated by his family in Chicago.
Everything I Know About Leadership I Learned From Camp
The campfires, silly songs and carefree days aren’t gone. What if you could be transported back to the greatest place in the world? Yes-- Summer Camp. With more than 20 years in the camp business, Mark translates powerful life lessons and leadership strategies into real-world techniques you can put into play at work right now. This session will give you an insightful game plan to foster strong leaders and productive team players, all while gaining a deeper understanding of yourself in the process. Using an emotional- intelligence (EI)-based approach, Mark’s approach to leadership focuses on self-awareness, positivity, accountability and trust. Bring your own stories and observations of leadership when you were growing up to this session. You’ll leave having laughed, learned and even more ready to lead.
Donna Terrasi
Donna Terrasi has been with Fred's Camp since its inception, in 1994. In the off-season, Donna is the middle school science teacher and team leader at Saint Clement School in Lincoln Park, where she has taught for 29 years. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Donna also coaches both basketball and volleyball and works with student writers to publish the school newspaper. She loves spending her summers at camp, where she enjoys being active and outside and appreciates the opportunity to work with children of all ages.
Virgie Berry
Virgie Berry has been an important part of Fred’s Camp since 2002. She was born and raised in Chicago. She has been teaching for 12 years, currently teaching 4-year-olds in a Pre-K program at Saint Clement. In her spare time, Virgie likes to read, try new restaurants, and spend time with friends.

Cody McLaurine
Cody McLaurine is a husband, dad, teacher and summer Fanatic of Fred’s Camp. Cody started with Fred’s Camp in 1994 and "every summer since then it's been my summer vacation," he says, adding, "I look forward to meeting new and returning campers every year."
Cody learned how to swim at Fred’s camp, went to his first waterpark, and he can’t tell you how many Fred’s Fabulous Franks he have eaten over the years. But he can tell you they were good!
Chris Baldwin
Chris Baldwin has been an integral part of Fred's camp for 20 years. He started his work at camp as a counselor, then worked as our Sports and Games Director, and has been the Senior Camp Unit Head for the last 10 Years. He is passionate about the special summer camp experience Fred's Camp provides, and is excited to be a part of the traditions and fun for all of our campers. On any given day, you can expect to see Chris in a Fred's Fabulous Franks hat, creating new and exciting games, and making campers laugh.
During the school year, Chris works at OPRF High School. He has been an AP Computer Science and Math teacher for 15 years, and is also the Head Boys Cross Country Coach and Assistant Boys Track Coach. He truly loves working with kids and is committed to leaving a positive impact on each child he works with.
Chris is also a marathon runner, and loves to spend time with his wife Katie (who he met at Fred's camp while she was also a counselor!) and their daughter, Olivia, (another avid Fred's camp fan and camper!)
