The Quad is the crown jewel of Fred’s Camp—a 50,000-square-foot green oasis in the heart of the city and the place where each camp day comes to life. From the energy of morning arrival to the excitement of afternoon dismissal, the Quad is where campers and counselors gather, connect, and share in the spirit of camp. Throughout the day, it’s home to games, sports, water play, picnics, and plenty of classic camp fun—including our weekly cookouts featuring Fred’s Fabulous Franks.

The Ray Meyer Fitness & Recreation Center is Fred’s Camp’s indoor home for summer fun. This 120,000-square-foot, air-conditioned facility features basketball courts, dance and multipurpose spaces, and a 25-meter indoor pool that serves as the home of our swim program. Whether campers are swimming, playing, dancing, or trying something new, the Ray gives us plenty of space to keep the fun going—rain or shine, all summer long.

Wish Field is one of our favorite places to play! Home of the Division I DePaul Blue Demons soccer teams, it gives Fred’s Campers an amazing space to run, play, compete, and enjoy some good old-fashioned camp fun. From sports and games to camp competitions and special events, there’s nothing quite like getting out on Wish Field with your group on a beautiful summer day.
